Melbourne Art Festival – www.melbourneart.org
For over a decade, Sunshine Artist Magazine has ranked the Melbourne Art Festival in the Top 100 best fine art shows in the nation. The backbone of this two-day, outdoor festival is the juried fine art show featuring over 250 artists from around the country. The festival also presents free concerts by national recording artists as well as regional and local acts. Other weekend events include KidsWorld (an arts and entertainment center for children), a 5K Run, Student Art Competition, free art workshops, food refreshments and a complimentary Park & Ride service. The Festival is a nationally recognized event held each year on the fourth full weekend in April in historic downtown Melbourne, Florida. This year, it will be held on April 23th to 24th 2011 and, as usual, admission is free. Please note that due to the popularity and high attendance of this event, no pets, skateboards, rollerblades, or coolers are allowed.
